STRESS attended the recent Subsidence Forum training day on 17th June 2026. Our team presented and demonstrated our non-invasive ground improvement system, ReFORCE. The event provided an excellent opportunity to engage with engineers, insurers and industry professionals.
A key highlight was our live demonstration, including the sword in the stone challenge. Many attendees attempted to pull the sword, but none were successful. A light-hearted reminder that true strength is not always visible on the surface and that long term performance is defined by what lies beneath.
ReFORCE is a controlled, non-invasive ground improvement system designed to stabilise structures quickly and efficiently. By carefully managing the injection and distribution of resin, the system forms a predictable ReFORCE pile even in variable soil conditions. This consistency enables a fully engineered, design-led approach grounded in soil mechanics principles.
ReFORCE has been successfully installed on projects throughout the UK for over 20 years and has maintained an unblemished warranty record. This exceptional track record provides clients and specifiers with confidence in the system’s long-term performance and durability.
Sword in the stone was used as a creative visual metaphor to demonstrate the strength of the ReFORCE permeation piling system – STRESS’ patented polymer injection system.
ReFORCE offers a practical advantage in subsidence-related claims, delivering the following proven benefits
We would like to thank the organisers of the Subsidence Forum training day for hosting such an engaging event.
Following strong interest at the event, STRESS offers bespoke CPD sessions on ReFORCE and Permeation engineering. These can be delivered online or in person and are tailored for engineers, insurers and construction professionals.
